Tasty Typography

The typography trend often makes its way into great designs for children's clothing, gifts and interiors.

Aranxa Esteve and LucĂa Rallo from Spanish studio 'm-inspira' have created their Sweet Letters. Made from sugar and gelatin, they're both educational and edible!

Forget fridge magnets when you're thinking of cool and colourful ways to encourage your kids to spell! These jelly treats provide the perfect bargaining tool to practice formulating new words and sentences, and more importantly reaping the rewards!

Kelly’s chairs are uniquely created from individually sourced vintage pieces of fabrics, meaning that each chair has it's own unique charm.

We love to keep an eye on what Kelly's been up to and are excited to share some of her new designs with you.

Congrats to Kidsen!

Last night, the newly opened Novikov in Mayfair, played host to the Telegraph Magazine's The Best Small Shops in Britain awards, which focuses on finding the best independent shops across the UK which give high streets their special identity.

Hosted by Michele Lavery, editor of the Telegraph Magazine, and retail expert columnist Mary Portas, thousands of consumers voted for their favourite local shops in nine categories.

Huge congratulations go to the team at Kidsen, who were awarded the coveted Best Independent Children’s Shop Award by a panel of judges!

After launching three years ago, the Kensal Rise store sells children’s clothes and shoes, interiors, toys and gifts, quite rightly described by The Telegraph as an ‘oasis of Scandinavian cool’!

“Being an independent retailer can be a roller coaster of emotions, but today I feel like all the hard work has been more than worth it.  I am so grateful to all the people I've met who have supported us and helped our shop grow and to The Telegraph for showcasing all us Independents.  Our mission is to continue to offer specialist service and advice and to keep our high street interesting by finding innovative and exciting products and generally make it a great local shopping destination.  Long live the high street!"

Corina Papadopoulou, Founder, Kidsen.

We can't wait to read Corina's next guest blog for Bubble and Speak on the back of such a prestigious win! Congratulations again team!

A Monstrous Catwalk

On the third day of London Fashion Week, Mulberry unveiled its Autumn/Winter 12 collection inspired by Maurice Sendak’s children book “Where The Wild Things Are”.

The Claridge’s Hotel in Mayfair was transformed into a dark woody land invaded by furry textures, mysterious prints and giant monsters by illustrator Emma Houlston.

Happy Feet!

Some of you may be familiar with The Horse, an ĂĽber-cool range of leather shoes for adults. The Australian brand has now jumped into the kids market with Jonah and The Girl.

These sweet 'canvas kicks' were only launched a few months ago and we're very impressed with their campaign.
