At this year's Milan Furniture Fair, Italian fashion label Marni made a move into furniture design, creating a range of handmade chairs and tables, as part of a charity project, in collaboration with Columbian ex-prisioner craftsmen.
That, together with the proceeds going to the institute ICAM of Milan - a project which allows children of imprisoned mothers to spend their youth in a family environment, means Marni have created some beautifully philanthropic furniture!

The limited edition series of 80 chairs, 10 deckchairs and 10 tables carries Marni's signature aesthetic of 'European-inflected bohemianism'. With bright, colour blocking paired with the use of salvaged items, the team reinvent materials to make structures and seating for the furniture, with concrete bars and recycled plastic pipes.
